Solar panels turn sunlight into DC electricity. An inverter converts it to AC to run your home or business, and any surplus can be exported to the grid through a net meter.

On-grid is best if your grid supply is reliable — it is the cheapest and gets the subsidy. Hybrid suits areas with frequent power cuts. Off-grid is for places with no grid at all.

Yes, but output drops. Panels still generate from diffused light, just less than on a sunny day.

About 80–100 sq ft of shadow-free space per kW. A 3 kW home system needs roughly 250–300 sq ft.

Quality panels last 25 years or more, with a small drop in output each year. Inverters typically last 10–12 years.

Subsidy

PM Surya Ghar subsidy

₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more, under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Some states add their own top-up.

Residential homeowners with their own roof and an electricity connection in their name. Housing societies can apply for common facilities.

No — the scheme is for residential consumers. Businesses benefit from lower tariffs and tax benefits such as accelerated depreciation.

Usually 30–45 days after your system is commissioned and the paperwork is uploaded on the national portal.

Yes. We handle the portal application, DISCOM approval, net metering and commissioning paperwork for you.

Cost & savings

Cost, savings & finance

Cost depends on system size, type (on-grid, hybrid or off-grid), panels, inverter and structure. Use our solar calculator for an estimate, or ask us for an exact quote.

Most on-grid customers see their bill drop sharply from the first month. A 3 kW system generates about 4,200–4,350 units a year.

Typically 3–5 years for on-grid systems, after which your power is practically free for 20+ years.

Yes. Banks offer solar loans, including concessional loans for homes under PM Surya Ghar.

Installation & care

Installation & maintenance

Home systems are usually installed in one or two days. Approvals and net-meter installation by the DISCOM can take a few weeks.

No. Our team uses proper anchoring and elevated structures; on metal sheds we use mono rails and FRP walkways to protect the roof.

Clean the panels with plain water every couple of weeks, avoid harsh chemicals and high-pressure jets, and keep an eye on generation through the monitoring app.

On-grid systems shut down for safety. Hybrid and off-grid systems keep your essential appliances running from the battery.

Yes. Our service team supports you with monitoring, maintenance and repairs throughout the life of your system.
